2021年8月24日上午九點多，陸之駿在家中身體突然不舒服，後來沒有呼吸心跳陷入昏迷。中央流行疫情指揮中心指揮官陳時中證實，這是國內首起在接種高端疫苗後，通報不良反應中的死亡案件，但不排除個案跟心肌梗塞有關係，個案本身也有慢性病史，必須要透過司法相驗，才能夠釐清死因是否跟施打疫苗有關係。
