目前臺灣允許在茶園中進行病害防治所使用的藥劑，係採安全性高及水溶性低的藥劑，行政院農業委員會茶業改良場歷年檢測茶乾農藥殘留及評審茶湯品質之國際標準作業流程，均未廢棄第一泡茶，亦未曾發現茶湯農藥殘留過量案件與第一泡茶湯廢棄與否有關。
