長征五號B遙二火箭殘骸最有可能的情況是落在海洋或無人居住地區，不必太過擔心。巴黎文理研究大學天文台（Paris-PSL Observatory）的天文學家德萊菲（Florent Delefie）則說：「殘骸落在有人居住區域的機率很小，可能只有百萬分之一。」
