原意是為了強化國家競爭力必須訂定美豬萊劑標準，但好不好吃、價錢又是另一回事，相關部會有自己的考量、選擇，不會強迫他們去買美豬。在美國不是強迫你買（美豬），也沒有強迫台灣民眾一定要吃，而是至少給美國一個公平競爭的機會，（美豬）能不能賣出去又是另外一回事。
