實際致電已經無人接聽進入語音信箱。屏東縣農業處表示，為了避免防疫出現破口，建議業者還是以送到化製場去處理較好，勿任意送人或丟棄。會再加強宣導。養蛋鴨約3年以上，有的就會汰換。因為送化製，需付費給化製場業者，有的就乾脆以免費送鴨名義，處理掉這些蛋鴨。
