該照片原始書本是由美國肉類發展協會2012年所發行的繪本，並非是2020發行，也並非是小學教科書的內容。當年台灣開放進口瘦肉精牛肉，引發社會爭論，該協會為了讓台灣肉品進口商業者、通路業務、運銷商業者，能夠通俗理解萊克多巴胺的相關知識，發行此繪本。此繪本僅發行初版，總計500本。
