儘管政府針對其捐助比率逾5成財團法人，可以依據《民法》等相關法律廢止其設立許可，但內政部在2015年以「亞洲土地改革與農村發展中心」不具政策性及公益性為由，對該中心做成解散處分，卻遭到該中心董事至法院抗告，顯示政府捐助財團法人退場困難重重。
