疫情警戒外出必須全程戴口罩，但自行開車者，若是2人以上同車，就應佩戴口罩，若為獨自駕車，在密閉空間內、不影響、不接觸他人，可不用戴口罩。
至於依據傳染病防治法，未佩戴口罩且經勸導不聽者，罰款3000到1.5萬元，罰款金額是視情節輕重，再由當地主管機關裁罰。但直至目前仍未開出開車未戴口罩罰單。
