有些沐浴乳也使用醇醚當原料，但只要「二惡烷」含量低於50PPM，符合多數國家的安全標準，其實就不必擔心；當然產品含「二惡烷」愈少愈好，只是不必過度擔心，如果覺得要「安心一點」，那使用沐浴乳時，就多用點水沖洗乾淨，或者改用香皂，因為香皂不含醇醚，也就不必擔心「二惡烷」。
