疾病管制署週三(3/1)公布我國首見2例本土猴痘確定病例，分別是北部40多歲及南部20多歲本國籍男性，居住地分別為新竹縣及高雄市，2名個案近期無出國旅遊史，研判為本土個案，經疫調匡列相關接觸者共25名，已進行衛教並自我健康監測21天。

衛福部疾管署副署長羅一鈞說，兩名確診者間沒有關聯性，兩人近期無出國旅遊史，研判為本土個案，接受隔離治療。羅一鈞指出，猴痘傳播對象主要為親密接觸的人際傳播，如與不特定對象發生性行為後，提醒民眾若出現皮疹、水泡、斑疹、膿疱等，以及發燒、畏寒、頭痛、肌肉痛、淋巴腺腫大等疑似症狀，應盡速就醫。
