根據中國海關總署[1992]792號文規定:”對於進出貨貨物或其包裝上帶有違反一個中國原則內容的,不得進出口”!
　　根據中國外交部領八函[2005]598號文規定,台灣(Taiwan)稱謂字樣不得單獨使用! 這兩份文件效力及於全中國,各政府機關都必須遵守!

　　凡是貨物外觀與文件原產地標示為Made in Taiwan者都被扣貨,要求整改為Made in Taiwan, China之後才准予以放行!

此謠言最早流傳自2020年4月。
中國海關確實有「一中原則」的相關規定，但並無明文表示會退回或扣貨，我國財政部也已出面澄清：並無標示「made in Taiwan」會被退扣貨的情形，如果出口貨物在中國遇到此類通關問題，可將個案具體情況透過關務署向中國反映，以尋求協助。
