內文指出喝咖啡未必導致鈣質流失較多,反倒是女性停經後,雌激素急轉直下導致骨質迅速流失,才是影響骨密度的最主要因素。食藥署也說,其實還有很多原因會影響鈣質流失,包括平常缺乏運動、少喝牛奶、久坐辦公室、少曬太陽等各種不良生活習慣,都會成為骨質疏鬆的高危險群,單一歸咎攝取太多咖啡因並非決定性因素,均衡飲食、調整生活習慣都是保留鈣質、強健骨本、預防骨鬆的關鍵。
