越南確實有不肖廠商將咖啡粉使用電池芯染色後賣出，有三噸流入越南市面，越南警方已經逮捕 5 人。越南胡椒協會主席 Nguyen Nam Hai 表示他們是小廠商，不認為這些骯髒的產品最後有出口。

截至 2018.4.25 沒有查獲這批咖啡出口的消息，因此原訊息「不知喝下多少越南的毒咖啡」、「不要再迷信越南的“麝香咖啡”」僅屬於個人意見。
