食藥署闢謠專區今針對撕不爛紫菜澄清，曾經也有民眾受到網路謠言的影響，懷疑紫菜是塑膠製成的，向地方衛生局檢舉，地方衛生局立即抽樣送驗，檢驗報告出爐，檢體確實為紫菜，具有海菜的細胞壁，也未驗出含有塑化劑，並非由塑膠製成。
