高雄市長陳菊今天宣布，從12月1日起連續3個月，實施大眾運輸免費搭乘措施，實施範圍包括市內公車、公路客運及輕軌使用電子票證免費搭乘；捷運部分則於平日上、下班時間（上午6點半至8點半及下午4點半至6點半）使用電子票證者，也可免費搭乘。這是全國第一個因應空汙免費搭乘大家運輸的示範措施，預估以空汙基金2億元支應。
