假的，這是 2021 年 7 月就傳過的假訊息，當時謠言中的對象是「Delta 變種病毒」。此訊息只是把舊訊息的 Delta 換成 Omicron、再加上BA4 BA5，訊息訛傳的症狀幾乎相同。
變種病毒仍可能會導致咳嗽或是發燒的症狀，也無法推估出「毒性高 5 倍」這種結論，致死率很高也並非事實，建議做好即時快篩與掛號線上問診。
