張上淳說，目前因為台灣大部分都是輕症，只有第一例個案因為在確診住院之前，症狀就滿嚴重、有明顯的肺炎，所以在出院時的檢查，也觀察到電腦斷層有纖維化的變化，肺功能也沒有完全恢復，跟以前SARS、H7N9流感患者肺炎的變化、復原狀況類似。至於是否真的完全不可逆，仍需要等待時間驗證。
