配合高雄市鐵路地下化營運並縫合城市發展，繼拆除青海陸橋、自立陸橋、青年鋼便橋、大順陸橋、自強陸橋、維新陸橋及填平左營地下道之後，位在三民區服務逾48年的中華地下道也即將在農曆春節後109年2月1日正式封路進行填平及拆除作業，讓地下道恢復成平面道路，預計3月上旬開放主線通車。
