過去警方提醒用路人，為了躲太陽亂停車恐怕觸法，最高可處600元罰鍰，若造成後方車禍，還有可能因此必須負上刑責。例如在公車站十公尺內、消防車五公尺內臨時停車者可處300~600元罰鍰。由於低消相對便宜所以怕的人相當有限。如今修正後最高可罰到1200元。
