汽電共生所發出之電力僅自用剩餘之餘電售予台電，因而不該計入系統裝置容量。另外，淨尖峰供電能力為理想之最大值，實際供電量仍有許多因素影響，為維持供電穩定也應該維持一定程度的備轉容量率，故並非裝置總容量大於用電量就沒有限電危機。
