在看這張旋轉女人的這張圖形時，我們的直覺認為這女人應該是立體的(3D)，但因為女人整個是黑色的(2D)，使得我們沒有足夠的資訊(ex.光影)來判斷她的遠近，所以才會產生的左右反轉的誤判。
而這種造成3D與2D間的錯視圖，其實是一種矛盾圖形。
