交通部回應指出，關於捷運紅線林園延伸線的經費，交通部已於105年補助高雄市政府840萬元，後續延伸屏東相關路網規劃經費更已有前瞻軌道建設計畫5000萬元之財源。交通部強調，韓國瑜所指「一毛都不給」根本是不實指控，舉高雄捷運黃線為例，行政院已於今年5月24日核定捷運黃線可行性研究，並納入前瞻基礎建設軌道建設預算，總經費1440.79億元，其中中央補助達803.99億元，單此一筆就是林園線路網規劃補助款的近1萬倍之多。
