日本、台灣、美國官方檢驗單位近期都有民眾收到中國不明種子、培養土包裹事件，但其中並沒有「大豕草種子」的申訴案件。專家表示，大豕草的汁液具有毒性，接觸皮膚會導致灼傷或是嚴重水泡，但種子並無汁液，接觸後而產生傷害的可能性很低。
