假的。外國媒體實測，手機放在桌上，外面圍著一圈鋼棉，同時用另一部手機撥打過去，看看被鋼棉圍繞的手機會不會接收到輻射，但鋼棉完全沒有影響，連一點點要起火的感覺都沒有。必須是要有電池直接碰觸後，讓電流經過，才有辦法讓鋼棉著火。
