愛玉小蜂對於環境的要求很嚴格，不能飛過海洋到其他國家去，離開特定區域就會不適應而死亡。國外雖然有類似的東西，但吃起來跟愛玉有差異，出膠量比較少，有些還要加石灰才能凝固。
