手機撥「星號（*）」或「井號（#）」的設計，通常是用於加值服務或特殊服務設定的程式。「*62*」就是一個自動轉接設定，一旦手機收不到訊號時，能主動轉往自己設定的另外一個號碼，以免漏接重要電話。至於撥「*26*」，系統則會告訴你：「對不起，號碼錯誤。」
