香蕉含豐富的鎂、鉀、碳水化合物,鉀離子能防止血壓上升,而高血壓是腦中風最重要的危險因子,因此適當攝取香蕉,有助於血壓防治,但仍應避免過量攝取反而造成身體傷害。

一般而言,仍建議每日均衡攝取六大類食物,每類食物中宜多加變化,香蕉攝取量建議95公克(大1/2根、小1根)。

若是高血壓且接受藥物治療之患者,因部分藥物之藥理機轉會使血鉀上升,建議與您的醫師討論香蕉之攝取量。高血壓飲食原則必須合乎均衡飲食及三少二多:多蔬果、多高纖、低油脂、少加工食品、少調味料。
