社會局副局長林昭文表示，如果長輩符合老人健保補助資格，市府都會用專函主動通知，長輩根本不需要申請，更不用拿存摺到公所辦理，全額補助者市府會幫忙代繳入健保局，若無法繳入健保局者，則會以轉帳方式匯入長輩指定的本人帳戶，「整年度」補助3,324元至2萬元，並非是「每月」補助3,324元至2萬元，請民眾勿受騙。
