台船工會表示，工會自主，只要理監事決議挺誰，工會就會就用行動表達支持，不分藍綠。阮昭雄說，工會基於自主決定，在選舉時共同支持特定政黨或候選人，在勞工運動發達的歐洲國家都是常態的事，也是民主政治下勞工團結權的正常顯現，不應隨便扣帽子羞辱工會自主。
