觀音隧道南下設有3座固定式測速照相桿，位在台9線130公里又492公尺處，即進入隧道後的第一座取締件數最多；警方分析，隧道內道路筆直，通車初期最高速限60公里，稍為一踩油門便可能超速，6月20日起調高為70公里，超速件數有減少趨勢，後續還有待觀察。
