台大教務長丁詩同受訪時表示，聘任與否並非政治考量，所有台大、甚至全世界各大學的客座教授，都是短期合約，是大學裡面聘約最薄弱的合約。期間限到了就結束了。沒有特殊需要，不需討論續聘。
