純屬謠言。
麵條煮熟時理論上是不會飄在水中,但是因水被煮沸時產生熱對流,造成水的滾動,因此有部份的麵條被推至接近水面,而後隨著水的流動而下沉,當爐火持續大火時,水不斷被煮沸著,此種現象會持續存在。
一但爐火關閉或轉小,麵條就都會沉下去了,一般麵攤老闆為免食客久等都會開大火煮麵,因此自然會有上述情形麵條製造業者也不會去增加成本去加一種不會提高他們利潤的物質。
