假的。台北市中醫師公會理事長施純全表示，紫蘇和薄荷在抑制病毒的效果僅在動物實驗階段，難以用來推論至人體上，且以中醫臨床應用來說，這2種藥材通常做為輔助、搭配其他藥材使用，很少單用這2味藥，用量也會根據各人情況斟酌條配，幾乎沒有拿來沖泡飲用，民眾若要使用，最好還是請教專業中醫師。
