朴子醫院四月上旬一位30歲年輕男性患者至急診求診，患者出現頭暈、噁心想吐症狀，至診所看完病後身體仍極度不適至才來醫院，經檢查血糖值飆超過到600mg/dI，超過正常人的空腹血糖值100mg/dI的六倍。經診斷屬於糖尿病急性併發酮酸血症(DKA)。男子表示不知道自己有罹患糖尿病，只是特別感覺容易口渴，一天喝好幾杯飲料且持續一陣子了，就診當時呼吸急促，因此立即送加護病房照護治療，救回一命。 衛生福利部
