教育局基於尊重臺北市議會審議教育局106年度預算附帶決議意見，以及肯定本市家長對於教育議題之關心及投入，2018年起本市性別平等教育委員會將在23席委員代表中，由原本1席家長代表增為4席，有利於公民參與性平教育，讓市府、專家學者及學校親師生溝通能更加順暢 。不再有北市性平教育委員會家長代表嚴重不足的情形。
